| After the weekend from hell last weekend changing out the OEM subframe and differential carrier bushings for Energy Suspension urethane ones (for details see the post here), one might think that I had experienced enough pain for a while. Incorrect Sir! With the wife out of town till the 111th the powder coated plenum, which had been hanging on the wall in the garage for 3 months, began calling my name. "Install me, install me, install me....". Bored I thought, OK let's get this baby swapped. Thanks out to Bernie for the gaskets and a next day air shipment of injector connectors. Total time spent was about 18 hours but that includes removal of the old plenum, instlall of the powder coated one, re-routing a boatload of wires, water bypass, cleaning up the engine bay, etc. The only realy PITA was getting the EGR tube bolts to the plenum back in. I thik it would have been faster to drop the tranny for the sole purpose of delting the EGR as compared to the approx. 3 hours it took to get those four bastard bolts back in! Being as it is an auto transmission it is not that simple though. In any event I am pleased with the result. When people post about how much the water bypass simplifies the engine bay they are not kidding! The pics below show a progression of the engine bay over the last few months so you can see some before, during and final results. Some notes on the pics below and the job itself: -My picture taking skills are not the greatest so take into account -The plenum color does not look as good in the pictures as in person. It is powder coated Ferrari red with crinkle finish just like Ferrari intakes have. -Some other items that lengthened the swap timer were install of new injector and a few other connectors , install of SS fuel lines, Smithy's chrome fuse box cover and master brake cylinder hoses. -Replaced virtually every hose I could get to, fuel, vacuum, water, etc. Have not started it up since finishing, still need to reconnect the fuel pump relay, clean up the engine bay a bit, finish routing the SS fuel line and last bolt on the strut tower bar. Enjoy! Note: Pictures are in order of time frame, past to present.

After all this I am done working on it for a while, with warmer weather (hopefully!) soon, gonna spend time enjoying it now!
